The engineering company specializes in creating high-quality three-dimensional models for industrial applications.
The Sociedad Regional de Promoción has granted a €150,000 loan to Dogram Ingeniería de Documentación Tridimensional, an engineering company based in Llanera, to support its growth. The loan to Dogram is part of the SRP’s “Crecimiento Emprendedores Innovadores” fund, endowed with €2 million and aimed at growing micro-enterprises and SMEs that are either innovative and technology-driven or have their own distinctive product.
Dogram is an engineering company specializing in techniques for capturing the geometry and surface appearance of physical reality, as well as in the virtual exploitation of the resulting data. The company has developed an innovative proprietary methodology for creating three-dimensional models with a quality far superior to the market average.
Initially focused on the three-dimensional digitization (commonly known as 3D) of architectural, archaeological and museum heritage, the application of this method to industrial sectors has opened up an important market niche for the company in the measurement and inspection of large components and facilities.
The SRP loan will facilitate investment in equipment and the expansion of the company, which is based in Llanera, as well as the implementation of quality standards and the recruitment of staff. The company is expected to add up to seven new employees to its workforce over the next two years.
Since the launch of its support programme for entrepreneurs in 2013, the Sociedad Regional de Promoción has supported 21 initiatives with €2.6 million in funding, generating a total investment of €7.5 million and contributing to the creation of 155 jobs.
The SRP will also provide €700,000 in funding for a pioneering facility in Spain for the recovery of metals. The plant, which will be located in Carreño and create eight jobs over two years, will promote the sustainable management of catalysts used in chemical processes.
